Using the Lumen Pro is simple and fits easily into a daily recovery routine.

1. Place the mat on a flat, heat-safe surface such as a bed, sofa, massage table, or floor.
2. Connect the controller and choose your preferred temperature, timer, and PEMF program. Enable red / near-infrared light if desired.
3. Allow the mat to preheat for several minutes, then relax on the mat for about 20–40 minutes while the warmth, PEMF pulses, and light support your recovery.
4. Hydrate before and after sessions and allow a brief cool-down before continuing your day.

Tip: For evening wind-down sessions, choose a lower temperature and shorter duration.

How long should I preheat the mat?
Preheat 15–20 minutes for most sessions. For high-heat work, allow up to 40 minutes so the gemstones and layers come fully to temperature.

What heat and session length should I use?

• Gentle reset (95–105°F / 35–40°C): Relaxation, wind-down, or overnight. Use in up to 2-hour cycles as comfortable.

• Recovery day (105–130°F / 41–54°C): 30–90 minutes to loosen tight muscles, soothe minor joint/back aches, and feel limber. Up to 2 sessions/day.

• Deep-sweat (130–150°F / 55–65°C): 30–60 minutes for an at-home, sauna-like sweat (trap heat with a towel or mylar layer). Once a day.

• Very hot (150–160°F / 66–71°C): Advanced users only, 30–60 minutes, once/day. Always start shorter and build gradually.

Can I pair the mat with a sauna blanket?
Yes—use the full sweat setup if you’re heat-acclimated:

• Preheat 15–40 min.
• Run the mat and blanket at high heat (≈130–160°F) for 30–60 min, based on comfort. 
• Head stays out, hands/arms inside.
• Place a thin cotton layer between you and the mat. 
• Hydrate before, during, and after; electrolytes are helpful.
• Keep controllers uncovered with airflow.
• Limit high-heat pairings to once per day.

Does a cover or clothing reduce the effects?
A thin cotton towel/cover or light clothing does not reduce far-infrared warmth, negative ions, or PEMF. 

Skin exposure is recommended for the strongest red / near-infrared light experience.

Do I need heat on for negative ions or PEMF?

• Negative ions: require heat on (they’re released as gemstones warm).

• PEMF: can run with or without heat.

How do I clean and store it?
